BOEHMS FRAKTUR

Lancaster artist, Julie Kohler, created the Boehms fraktur that was inspired by a statement made by Frances Asbury
at the funeral service of his friend, Martin Boehm, April 5th, 1812.

The colorful illumination and German script are a reproduction of an original piece of fraktur penned in
'Conastogen' (Conestoga) Township in 1763.

Loosely translated from the German, the first sentence conveys the meaning of Psalm 89:1: I will sing of the mercies
of the Lord forever, with my mouth I will make known Thy faithfulness to all generations.

A limited number of copies are avaliable for purchase on the Memorabilia page of our website.
